GRADY IS 6 MONTHS OLD!!

Born with a severe congenital heart defect at 31 weeks gestation, Grady has overcome many obstacles including surviving a heart transplant 2 weeks before his actual due date at a little over 5 lbs. Doctors have said many times that it is a miracle he is alive. He has touched many lives in the short time he has been here. I can't even begin to imagine what God has in store for the rest of his life.

- I am a wife to Ken and mother of two precious boys Colby & Grady. Colby is a healthy 4 year old & Grady was born on 9/13/07 (9 weeks early) with a congenital heart defect. His diagnosis was critical aortic stenosis and hypoplastic left heart. He had a lifesaving catherization the day he was born (his heart stopped twice that day). Two weeks later we were told that there was no other surgery that could be done to correct his defect. We were told that we have 2 choices: comfort care (doing nothing & allowing him to die) or a heart transplant. We opted for the transplant even though we knew that it would be a long hard road. Nine days after being listed, Grady received his new heart. He is still recovering at the Cleveland Clinic. Grady is our miracle baby! We have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland since September of 2007.

Hi Jeannie,
How awesome is it that you get to go out tonite! It's good that Ken realizes that you need some get away time as do all moms. Grady does look older with his "big boy" clothes. I love those gap sweatshirts! He also looks content in front of the camera . It doesn't look like he's gonna be shy at all! I just got home and have to leave again...had a few minutes before Coleson wakes up so I decided to see what you had on today.
Have a great time out with Michelle! What's it gonna be movie, dinner maybe both with a little shopping on the side? Have fun!
